Get involved

On Friday I had garden to table with the kakano students, my partner was Xanthe and we had 3 little buddy's. Our job was to pull out the radishes for the chickens, when we went outside we went to the radishes and pulled all of them out and then brushed off the dirt. Once we were done with that we put them in a bucket and asked for more jobs, since we were done we went around the junior school and picked up rubbish then headed inside for a book.

Learner qualities I used were:

Resilience, by looking after the kids and kept going when they didn't listen.

Active thinking, by getting a bucket to put the radishes in.

Term 1 Integrated Learning - Leadership

We have been learning all about What makes a good leader.

We identified that good leaders show 6 main character traits. These are Integrity, Trustworthy, Resilient, Goal Focused, Active Thinker and Motivational.

The leadership trait that I think I show the most is Motivational because I like to help people and encourage them to achieve their goals.

The leadership trait I would most like to develop is Goal focused because I would like to finish my SML earlier in the week.

Something NEW I have learned about leadership is that leaders also make mistakes.

The SOLO level that I reached during this unit of learning is relational because I can compare and contrast the traits of different leaders.

My next step in learning about leadership is to apply everything that I have learned about leadership to my own leadership roles.

Peer mediation Merit evidence can do

Peer mediation


On Wednesday I had Peer mediation with Kyla, we got our high vis, lanyard and iPad and started walking to the Juniors area. Once we got there we had a little girl who couldn't find her friends so we helped her find her friends then we had a few minor problems but sorted them out quickly. We then went to the basketball court and had a problem the problem went to the end of lunch but we sorted it before the bell rang, then we headed to class and lined up.

The learner qualities I used are:
. Empathize because I was getting it from the other perspective
. Communicate because you need to communicate with the people involved to get it solved.
